CSA Membership

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and it aims to give farmers and their community the best deal possible.

CSA is a great alternative to farmers markets, which require extensive time and labor and include huge unpredictability. CSA does away with those costs while still bringing the freshest produce direct to our communities.

With CSA, members sign up at the beginning of the season, when the farmer needs cash to purchase seed, fertilizer, etc., then the members get a weekly distribution of produce throughout the rest of the season.

By joining a CSA, you assume some risk for what may happen during this farming season.

You also reap the bounty when we get great yields!

Being a CSA member means you've "bought in" to the farm and you're along for the ride, up or down.

I aim to provide you with consistency and variety to keep you coming back season after season.

When you sign up, I'll ask you to sign a statement that says you understand these elements of the CSA. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me!

I think it is important to mention here that CSA and even small farm enterprises as we know them today would not exist without the work and ingenuity of Dr. Booker T. Whatley. You can find out more about him by visiting this link. His contributions are some of many by Black farmers overlooked in today's food system conversations.

  • Join the Community: by becoming a CSA member, you join a community of like-minded folks supporting a local farm, who all share the same bounty, connected to the same land

  • Vacation Friendly: if you're going to miss a week or two, I'll work with you to either double your produce for the next week, tack on a pick up at the end of the season, arrange for a friend to pick up for you, or donate your share to a local food bank or soup kitchen.

  • What to expect: 5-7 distinct "units" of produce (a unit being a bunch, a bag, a pound, etc.) each week, picked fresh and properly stored before you receive it.

  • Variety each week: I aim to provide you with a bounty of produce each week and promise to vary what you receive so your veggies don't end up in a pile in the back of your fridge.

  • Choice of distribution: I will work with you to find the best schedule and pick-up or delivery options for you.

In 2026, the CSA Membership will run for 25 weeks, from the first week of June to the week before Thanksgiving.
